Greg has been providing high quality, family focused medical care to families in the Yakima Valley for over 18 years. Greg worked at Cornerstone Medical Clinic in Yakima for eight years before his heartfelt passion for people and desire to provide exemplary medical care motivated him to open his own practice. In 2009, Greg opened Yakima Avenue Medical Clinic, which later became Best Practices Medical Clinic. In 2012, Greg was awarded the Washington State NP Award for Excellence, given for his "demonstration of excellence in clinical practice."

Greg began his nursing career at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital as a CNA in 1990. He attended YVC, graduating from their Nursing Program in 1994. Greg then attended WSU, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1997 and proceeded to graduate from WSU's Master of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Program in 2001.

Greg was born and raised in Naches, WA. Greg, and his wife Janis, continue to own and operate Best Practices Medical Clinic and together they strive to give people, young and old alike, the kind of care that they deserve. They have three children that they adore and they reside on a small farm in Selah.

Dr. DiMeo, a native of New York, moved to Yakima in 2008 with his wife, 2 daughters, and 2 dogs. He graduated from Ithaca College in 1992 with a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry, then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his degreee in 1997 after an additional fellowship year training in osteopathic medicine.Prior to moving to Yakima, he practiced osteopathic family medicine at the DiGiovanna family care center in Massapequa, NY for 8 years.

Dr. DiMeo has spent the last 15 years in Yakima treating patients in a rural family practice setting as well as educating the future of medicine and teaching osteopathic medical students at PNWU.

Dr DiMeo joined Best Practices in December 2020 and is dedicated to accepting and treating patients from all walks of life providing them with access of care in treating disease and applying preventative medicine. He also includes his training in osteopathic medicine in his ability to diagnose and treat patients individually and holistically to find wellness.

Brian joined Best Practices in 2021 after graduating from Heritage University with a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Before completing his Physician Assistant degree he earned a Bachelors of Science in Paramedicine from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2014. He went on to work as a paramedic in Las Vegas and in the Tri-Cities, Washington. He joined Best Practices in May 2021.

Brian grew up in the rural community of Royal City, WA where he worked with his family and cousins on the family farm. Staying local and close to friends and family in Central Washington is important to him. Brian is married to his amazing wife Ashley and has four wonderful, wild and rambunctious boys. They enjoy activities that involve being outdoors and allow them to adventure together. Brian is excited to be apart of the Best Practices family.

A lifelong Yakima Valley resident, Linda has been a Physician Assistant (PA) since 1996, graduating from the University of Washington, MEDEX Northwest PA program in the inaugural class in Yakima. As a PA she has worked in pediatrics, women’s health, and occupational medicine. A large part of her career has been in health education, working with UW MEDEX and Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, and recently, the PA program at Heritage University. Prior to becoming a PA, Linda was a registered nurse for twenty years, in neonatal intensive care and general pediatrics at Yakima Pediatric Associates. She joined Best Practices Medical Clinic in October 2021.

Linda received a nursing AA from Yakima Valley Community College, a Bachelors of Clinical Health Services from UW, her Master’s in Organizational Development from Central Washington University, and her Doctor of Health Education from AT Still University. Linda is active in the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants, working to improve practice rights for PAs. Linda enjoys traveling the US and abroad, camping, knitting, and visiting her children and grandchildren.

Anne graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1992 with a degree in nursing and a degree in psychology, both with academic honors (Cum Laude). She graduated from Washington State University Master of Nursing Nurse Practitioner program in 1999. She has been working in the Yakima Valley as a Nurse Practitioner since that time. She has been deeply rewarded by the relationships she has created with her patients over the last 16 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She is married to her husband of 20 years, Matt. Together, they enjoy the joys and challenges of raising their three sons. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends,traveling, gardening and skiing.

Kimberly Shipley is a nurse practitioner who came to work part time at Best Practices in 2019. Kim was born and raised in the Seattle area, moving to Selah over 30 years ago. She graduated from the YVCC nursing program in 1997 then worked at Memorial Hospital as an RN for 20 years. Kimberly earned her Bachelors degree in nursing from Washington State University College of Nursing in 2014, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Soon after, she returned to WSU and earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree in 2017. As a NursePpractitioner she started her career working at Yakima Worker Care, specializing in occupational medicine. She started working part time in family practice eventually making the decision to do family practice full time in August 2021.

Kim and her husband Gary live in Selah. They enjoy camping, traveling, and spending time making memories with their combined 5 kids and their 15 grandchildren. Kim has a passion for helping her patients achieve their optimal health. She feels it is important for patients to have an open communication as well as be listened to by their providers. She believes this happens while working together as a team to accomplish their best and healthiest versions of themselves.

Board Certified in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Care

Lori graduated from Washington State University Bachelor of Science of Nursing in 1996. Her professional career began as the manager of a local home health and diabetes program. She has also managed a rural health clinic and ambulance service. Lori also had an interest in the mental health needs of her clients. In 2009 she graduated from Washington State University Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and obtained her Master of Nursing degree. She is board certified to see patients age 13 through adult. Lori’s areas of interest include attention deficit disorder, anxiety and behavioral changes leading to a better quality of life. She focuses on teaching behavioral skills to help clients better manage anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. Her goal is to help clients to develop effective coping skills to better respond to life stressors. Lori is a resident of Ellensburg and sees patients in both Ellensburg and Yakima. Lisa graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 1996. In 2005, graduated from Washington State University with a Masters of Nursing and became board certified as an Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in the Yakima Valley as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner both in community mental health and private practice settings. is an active member of the Association of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau. also serves in a full time clinical faculty role with Washington State University, College of Nursing at their Yakima campus.

Lisa feels passionate about working with individuals to improve their mental health and well-being. She has been married to Robert for 25+ years and they enjoy two children. As a family, they appreciate the outdoors and time together.

Board Certified in Children’s and Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Care

John Nance is a Shreveport, Louisiana native who joined Best Practices Medical Clinic in July 2021. He will be participating in the care of children and adults in the mental health clinic. John obtained his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University in 2017 and his Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2021. John has extensive history as an RN and RN supervisor at LSU hospital of Louisiana, where he cared for patients in the Neurosurgical ICU and Stroke ICU. After obtaining his Psychiatric prescribing privelages, he describes himself as “a brain provider, through and through”. He focuses on treating depression, anxiety, and men’s issues among other psychiatric conditions. John’s treatment philosophy: “better” isn’t good enough, I want you to be your “best”!
